Dedicate a Book
The Perry Library at Cape Henry Collegiate is a unit school facility. The Lower School library is housed in the Sims Lower School and has the Prekindergarten through Grade 3 book collection. Grades 4 and 5 are serviced by the Lower School Media Center, located on the second floor of THe Sims Lower School. The Perry Library serves Grades 6-12. All students, faculty and administrators share the library resources. The Perry Library opened to students in September, 1993, and is a 7,800 square foot facility with book stacks that encompass 3,950 square feet. The library collection as of June 2010 surpassed 46,000 items.

All library books, materials, and equipment are bar-coded and scanned through the automated circulation system. Faculty, students and parents may borrow materials for two week intervals and may renew materials three times. Overdue fines are not charged to faculty or students; however, if materials are lost, the cost of the item is charged to the faculty member, student or parent.

Reference materials and reserved materials may be checked out at the end of the day.

Amazon Kindles are the latest additions available to students in The Perry Library. Currently, the Library's electronic collection includes over 100 titles. 

The Perry Library's prime responsibility is to encourage the teaching/learning process of the Prekindergarten through Grade 12 coeducational, college-preparatory education which "fosters the growth of the individual" as outlined in the School's Mission Statement. The library continually provides resources and services which seek to improve both the individual and instructional needs of students and faculty. The Library program is designed to assist learners to grow in the ability to find, generate, evaluate and apply information that helps them to function effectively as individuals and to participate successfully in the community.
Hours of Operation
The Perry Library is open to students from 7:30 a.m. through 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, during the regular school year.

The Perry Library will close on early dismissal days for the library staff to attend meetings.
The Perry Library is also open during Summer School from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for all Summer School students and faculty.
Important Information
Students and Faculty, you will now need to login to the Library Portal to access Online Databases, eBooks, Online Class Resources, and to schedule time in The Perry Library.
